The use of the Gavita EL2 master controller to control E-series ballasts provides maximum control, ease of use and installation and the safety of the "plug & play" connection. Simply connect the regulator cables to the ballasts equipped with T-splitter (see diagram), set the selectors in EXT (external control), connect everything to the mains and it will be ready for use.
The controller can turn on and off all the connected ballasts thanks to an internal clock, adjust them according to the required output level (in percentage or according to the exact output power) and simulate sunrise and sunset in order to gradually adjust the climate in the grow room when the lights go out and on.
This electronic regulator replaces expensive lighting timers and meters avoiding the current spike that occurs when the lights are turned on.
Two very important features are the autodim function and the emergency stop.
When the temperature in the growing area exceeds the selected level it could become harmful.
The temperature probe detects this variation and automatically dims the lights in order not to exceed the selected temperature and maintain it.
The screen and LED alerts indicate when this occurs, and also indicate when it has occurred so that you can remedy the problem.
If for some reason the air conditioner fails completely and the temperature reaches unacceptable levels, the system will perform an emergency shutdown of all connected equipment.
The controller's alarm contact can be connected to your alarm system to receive instant notification.
